Pwytter – Free, Cross-platform Twitter Client
In these harsh times, holding on to your hard earned money is a big deal. If money is tight and you don’t feel like spending any on software, then you will like that Pwytter is offered free of charge by its developer. To be more precise, it is free software license in the GNU GPL. You can use this application free of charge and keep your money in your pocket. That is something I liked about this application.
Speaking of using Pwytter, another thing I liked is that this standalone Twitter client is cross-platform. This means it runs on the Microsoft-developed Windows operating system, the Apple-developed Mac OS X, and on the open-source operating system Linux.
The list of things I liked about this application doesn’t stop here. I also liked that it provides support for multiple languages. When you’ll install the application, you will be asked to choose between English, French, Italian, German, and other languages. According to the developer and at the time of writing this, Pwytter provides support for a total of 14 languages.
Last but not least, you will like what Pwytter can do for you. As mentioned above, it is a standalone Twitter client with the following features:
- It has a compact, easy to figure out user interface.
- View your list of friends and followers.
- Easily reply to tweets.
- In-message URL detection.
- Automatic and manual refresh.
- Full Unicode support for all supported languages.
To get started with Pwytter on Windows, you will have to download a 3MB setup wizard (the download will complete in a blink, since it can’t take long to get 3MB off the web and onto your computer) and then go through the steps presented by the setup wizard – it is a process that will complete in little time. All you have to do next is sign in with your Twitter login credentials.
